Super-duper bank holiday activities for families

We are keeping our fingers tightly crossed that the weather shines sweetly on us thisplaying-outdoor-3 bank holiday weekend, and so, we’ve got together and created a list of our favourite bank holiday activities for all families to enjoy this weekend.

1. Become a Farmer

Now that the weather is warm, why not take the kids to visit a farm for the day. A day out to the farm is a wonderful experience for all, get stuck in and help ‘muck out’ the horses stables or watch the farmers deliver the new baby lambs. Trips like these are always unforgettable experiences – but make sure you wear clothes suitable for farming; we don’t want your best clothes covered in ….Our favourite farm to visit is in Cheshire, or, alternatively check out a wonderful website that will not only keep your kids occupied this spring but forever more!

2. Visit a local seaside

For those of you who aren’t packing off and going elsewhere this bank holiday, make the most of this glorious sunshine by heading to a local beach. These are some fantastic seaside towns you can visit all across the UK. Our favourite beaches are Brighton, Southend-On-Sea and Blackpool.

3. Visit the Chelsea Flower Show

This is a great little adventure break for kids, with many family friendly activities for all ages provided at the Chelsea Flower Show as you wonder around the flowery haven! With pop up ice cream vans, and rickshaws to ferry around, there’s lots of fun to be had.

4. Take a Last Minute Break

If you feel like it’s not quite summer yet, and fancy a little bit of time to unwind, then why not book a last minute city break away. We have some delightful website for of cheap hidden gem holidays, visit Secret Escapes or Travel Zoo first, they have wonderful holiday discount offers so make sure you look at these holiday websites first before you go booking!

5. Have a ‘posh’ picnic

The weather is glorious this weekend, so why not make the most of it sitting outside. Get a group of friends together and have a picnic, but not any old type of picnic, a ‘posh’ picnic. Soak up the sun and pretend your already at Wimbledon by including in your picnic some fresh strawberries and cream, along with a cool glass of fizz. A fabulous way to spend your day, without paying corkage!

Whatever you decide to do – have a great time!
